ORICK, Calif. - August 9, 2007 - Redwood Adventures, a business unit of Redwood Parks Lodge Company located within the Redwood National and State Parks, today announced availability of its 33-acre Ghost Mill Adventure Center property as a venue for festivals, family reunions, expositions, corporate retreats and more.
The company recently held an inaugural event to celebrate National Trails Day, an event conducted in association with the American Hiking Society to celebrate America's trails. A large part of the event's success was due to the Ghost Mill Adventure Center venue where it was held, located 4 miles north of Orick, California on scenic Highway 101. As a result, Redwood Adventures has decided to make the property available for rent.
The Redwood Adventures Ghost Mill property, as its name implies was originally a saw mill. The gateway to Redwood National and State Park, the property borders
- Prairie Creek on the west,
- California State Highway 101 on the east, and
- Redwood Adventures Village to the south, which borders the Elk Meadow day use area within Redwood National State and Parks.
"It's a perfect property for any type of outdoor event," said John 'Johnny Redwood' Russavage, chairman and chief executive officer of Redwood Adventures. "Whether it's a music festival, a Harley ride-in, corporate bonding event or a family reunion, the Ghost Mill Adventure Center can accommodate a wide variety of needs."
The Ghost Mill Adventure Center facilities include a 25- x 60-foot raised stage surrounded by acres of level, natural grass space that can be used for camping, picnicking, booth displays and parking. The property also includes a 20,000-sq. ft. building, which can be used for event storage.
Located at 124198 Highway 101 in Orick, California, the Ghost Mill Adventure Center property is approximately 40 miles north of Eureka and 40 miles south of Crescent City. The nearest airport is Arcata/Eureka Airport, a 30-minute drive to the property.
